Bird Brain - Short Post Card Film

This short post-card film was for a first assessment piece in my course at JMC Academy Brisbane. The requirements were to create a post-card video that displayed technical skill and was to have no dialogue or location sound. Bird Brain is a comedy short that portrays a young 20-something guy who is left to his own devices after his girlfriend visits her family for a week. He is left alone with the only instruction being to look after his girlfriends beloved bird. Unfortunately he forgets about the bird, which then dies. The story had to be very short (3-4 minutes) and was shot in two half-days. Editing and majority of cinematography was completed by myself. The story was written both by myself and fellow partner for the assessment, Maria Bui. The songs used throughout this piece are relevant to the story in their lyrical content. Editing done by myself on Final Cut Pro 7. No copyright infringement is intended on this piece as it is an illustrative demonstration of filming and editing techniques relevant to my study as a student. I am willing to go back and edit the piece with original scores, however time permitting this may not be done in the near future but rather short distance.
